The Bramble Family History
The Bramble Family began when Caroline GREEN married James BRAMBLE on 26 July, 1846 at Alverstoke, Hampshire. They had 12 children, and those children went on to have large families of their own as well.
This beautiful family photo shows Caroline Bramble (nee Green) sitting centred, surround by her family. Sitting to her right is the young James Bramble. We suspect this was taken circa 1887 as the image of James Bramble Sr. has been superimposed. He died in November 1886. Take a close look at Caroline's exquisite dress. The detail and embellishments are wonderful. Thanks to Jim Bramble for sharing this photograph.

James was a captain and a paymaster in chief with the Royal Navy. He married Mary Ellen Simonds in Essex on 12 October, 1881 and had three children.
