Benford
The name Benford enters our family when Doris Edith Graham (daughter of Arthur George Graham and Flora Louise Pibworth) married Ernest Edgar Benford in 1920 at Portsmouth, England. Ernest was 20 and Doris was just 18. Ernest became ill about 1931 and was eventually hospitalized , during which time he and Doris were divorced. Doris married again in 1943 at Portsmouth but that marriage did not produce any further children.
The marriage of Doris Graham and Ernest Benford produced seven children, one of whom died shortly after
birth in 1934.
